Miss Cooke, Ex-Postmaster At Goby, Dies

Miss Zola E. Cooke, 59, of Goby, died Monday at Mary Washington
A native of King George, she was postmaster at the Goby Post Office
for more that 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Frank E. and
Virginia P. Cooke and was a life-long member of Potomac Baptist Church, King

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Viola Burchell of Goby, and two
brothers, Edward Cooke of Fredericksburg and Lester Cooke of Goby.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Potomac
Baptist Church. The Rev. George T. Herring and the Rev. John A. Morgan will
officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in
state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

The body is at the Wheeler & Thompson Funeral Home.
