MAUDE ALLENSWORTH, retired postmaster

Mrs. Maude Lillian Allensworth, 90, of Rollins Fork in King George County died
Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Woodmont Health Care Center.

Born in Westmoreland County, she had retired as postmaster of the Rolling Fork
Post Office after 40 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Wakefield
Chapter No. 77, in Colonial Beach. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church at
Shiloh and was the widow of R. Webster Allensworth Sr.

Survivors include a son, R. W. Allensworth Jr. of Rollins Fork; a daughter, Suzanne
Headley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, George Blight Costenbader of Shingle
Springs, Calif.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles
P. Anderson Jr, the Rev. Robert Allensworth and the Rev. William Bowler officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home
in King George, with an Eastern Star service to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The family requests that expression of sympathy take the form of contributions to the
King George Fire Department, Box 466, King George, Va. 22485 or to the Dahlgren
Rescue Squad, Box 1375, Dahlgren, Va. 22448
