Geneva McCreary Wood, 48, of Rt. 206, King George was killed Wednesday
night when a tractor-trailer struck the pick-up truck she was driving.
 

Mrs. Wood was an associate in the family business, Roy T. Wood Lumber Co. in
King George. She has been employed by the State Department of highways and
Transportation in King George before that.
 

Mrs. Wood was a member of Hanover Baptist Church where she had been organist
for 13 years. She had been active in the youth programs at the church and
had been a Sunday School Teacher.
 

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Roy T. Wood Sr.; two daughters, Mrs.
Sandra Johnson of Fredericksburg and Miss Cynthia Wood of King George;
three sons, Ronald (who was injured in the accident) and Randall and Roy Wood Jr.,
all of King George; and one brother, Harry McCreary, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona.
 

A funeral service was held Saturday at Hanover Baptist Church, with burial at
Historyland Memorial Park in King George. The Rev. Max Greene and the
Rev. M.A. Timberlake officiating.
