Arnold J. Woodhouse


Arnold James Woodhouse, 88, died here Friday, at his home.

He was a retired fireman for the District of Columbia Fire Department and a member
of the Colonial Beach Masonic Lodge No. 195 and Wakefield Chapter No. 77, Order
of the Eastern Star. He was also a deacon and department superintendent of the First
Baptist Church of Colonial Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith M. Woodhouse; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jean
Inscoe of King George; a son, George B. Woodhouse, of Richmond; two half brothers,
Alvin and Edward Woodhouse, both of Norfolk; a half sister, Mrs. Ethel Pearson of
Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service with Masonic rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist
Church, Colonial Beach. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Earl Cox. Interment
will be in the Hanover Baptist Church cemetery, Edgehill. Pallbearers will be members
of the Colonial Beach Masonic Lodge. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the
Wakefield Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

The body is at the Nash and Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach.
